What type of driver's licence is required to operate a 2T tipper truck?
At Southern Cross Truck Rental (SCTR) a standard car licence (Class C) is required to operate a 2T tipper truck. An MR licence is required to operate the SCTR 5T tipper truck.
Are there any age restrictions for hiring a 2T tipper truck?
Southern Cross Truck Rental (SCTR) requires authorised drivers to be aged 21 or over and properly licensed. Additionally, the following people are not able to operate Southern Cross Truck Rental (SCTR) assets, including tipper trucks;
- Persons who have held a driver’s licence for less than two (2) years preceding the commencement date of the Rental Agreement;
- Learner drivers are not permitted to drive any Rental Vehicle;
- Persons who are under the age of 21 years where the Vehicle is 8 tonne GVM or over.
