Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Flatbed trays supplied with straps?
Yes. Vehicles can be supplied with straps if requested
What license do I need to drive a Flatbed Tray?
Vehicles up to 4.5 tonnes gross vehicle mass (GVM) can be driven/operated with a standard C-Class license. Anything larger will require an LR/MR and in some cases HR truck licenses to drive/operate
Do I need to pay for the fuel I use?
All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel. They must be returned with a full tank but if not, then there is a refuelling charge plus an administration fee. These are explained to you and part of your agreement when hiring the vehicle. Some of our trucks use Adblue as well. As a customer, you must ensure that the Adblue tank is full, or incur extra costs. If you do not make sure that the Adblue tank is full, this may result in the truck stopping unexpectedly, which is hazardous.
What happens if the vehicle breaks down?
Whilst our fleet is maintained and serviced regularly to the highest standards, sometimes breakdowns will still occur. If so, our vehicles are covered by 24-hour emergency breakdown service. This covers issues such as flat batteries or engine problems. The emergency contact number is provided in the vehicle. In the event of a flat battery, you will be billed.
What is the maximum weight that a flatbed truck can carry?
The maximum weight that one of our flatbed trucks can carry is 12 tonnes. We also offer 8 tonne, 6 tonne and 2 tonne flatbed trucks.
What if my business requires customised flatbed trucks?
We customise trucks based on your business needs. Our provider of truck accessories is Bars’n’Lights.
